One logo, up to 5 MB (PNG with transparency is ideal). A square image works best; other shapes are padded with transparent margins.
Questions people ask
Which files are in the pack?
favicon.ico carrying 16, 32 and 48 pixel frames, PNG icons at 16, 32, 192 and 512 pixels, an opaque 180-pixel Apple touch icon, a site.webmanifest you can edit, and a README-style usage note. Eight files, standard names, ready to drop into the site root.
My logo is not rectangular, let alone square.
A non-square image is centred on a transparent square, with padding where it needs it. The padding is reported in the result rather than hidden, and transparency is preserved everywhere it is allowed.
Why is the Apple touch icon opaque?
iOS home-screen icons are flattened onto a solid background and reject transparency. Your icon is composited onto white for that file, exactly as Apple expects, while the PNG and ICO files keep their transparency.
What do I do with the files?
Put them in your site root, paste the three link tags from the usage note into your page template, and fill in your site's name in site.webmanifest if you want the PWA icons wired up. The note says which tag does what.
Does the tool phone home to any icon service?
Never. Everything is generated locally from your upload; the pack was built from the pixels you gave it and nothing else was contacted.
What happens to my files?
The upload is removed as soon as processing finishes; the ZIP stays downloadable for about 10 minutes, then it is deleted automatically.
