Markdown to HTML
Convert a Markdown document into a clean, standalone HTML file.

Questions people ask
- Which Markdown dialect does this use?
- CommonMark, plus two GitHub extensions that have a faithful HTML reading: pipe tables and strikethrough. Fence your code blocks with triple backticks; task-list markers stay as readable [x] / [ ] text; and bare URLs are never auto-linked. Write [text](url) or the angle-bracket <https://…> form when you want a link.
- What happens to raw HTML and dangerous scripts?
- Raw HTML passes through (CommonMark behaviour) but the output is sanitised with a strict allowlist before you ever see it: scripts, styles, event handlers and javascript:/data: URLs are removed, element by element. The result is an inert, safe HTML document, and nothing is ever downloaded or fetched by the converter.
- What exactly do I get?
- One standalone .html file with a UTF-8 head, the converted body, and a title taken from your first H1 (or the uploaded filename). No styling, no scripts, no analytics.
- How big can the document be?
- Up to 4 MB of Markdown; the converted file is capped at 8 MB, and refused rather than truncated if it would be larger.
- What happens to my files?
- Inputs are removed as soon as processing finishes; the HTML is available for about 10 minutes, then automatically deleted. No accounts, no tracking.
