Questions people ask
- How do I write the page list?
- Pages are numbered from 1. Use commas to separate and dashes for ranges: "3" is one page, "1-4" is four, "2-4,7,10-12" is eleven. Spaces are fine.
- What if I list a page twice?
- It appears twice. The output is exactly the sequence you asked for, in the order you asked for it. Nothing is silently de-duplicated or re-sorted.
- What if I ask for a page the PDF doesn't have?
- The tool tells you the document's real page count and refuses rather than returning a partial result. Nothing is created until the whole selection is valid.
- Does the new PDF keep the original's metadata?
- No: the extracted file carries no document-info metadata at all, and nothing is stamped with our own details either.
- What happens to my files?
- The input is removed as soon as processing finishes; your extracted PDF is available for about 10 minutes, then it is automatically deleted.
