Upload

Files (1–1)
One PDF, up to 40 MB. The tool walks the document's embedded image resources, it never rasterises pages.
Questions people ask
Are the extracted images the originals?
Yes, wherever the PDF format allows. A JPEG (the format almost every camera and scanner stores) is copied out byte-for-byte , the file in the archive is the exact image the document carries. Images whose pixels are stored flat (old artwork, fax-style bitmaps) are re-assembled and saved losslessly as PNG, and the ledger inside the archive says which path each image took.
Is this different from printing a page to an image?
Completely. A page render rasterises everything, text, rules, backgrounds, into one flat picture. This tool walks the document's image resources and extracts the actual pictures, each at its native size and encoding. A one-page document containing three photos yields three images, not one screenshot.
What happens when the same photo is used on several pages?
It is extracted once. Documents reuse the same image object on multiple pages (a logo, a background); re-extracting it for every page would ship identical bytes over and over, so the tool folds repeats and reports which pages each file serves. Distinct objects with byte-identical content are folded too, and both forms of reuse are counted in the ledger.
What is inside the ZIP?
Every extracted image under an images/ folder, named image-001, image-002 and so on in document order, plus a summary.json ledger listing each image's name, the pages it appears on, its format, dimensions and size, and how many images were preserved verbatim versus rebuilt as PNG.
Which PDFs can't be handled?
Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are refused (the tool never decrypts), files over 40 MB are refused, and a document with no embedded raster image returns an honest "no images" result rather than an empty archive. Images carried in exotic encodings the format saves are skipped and counted, never guessed at.
What happens to my files?
The upload is removed as soon as processing finishes; the archive stays available for about 10 minutes and is then deleted automatically.
