Extract text from a PowerPoint
Turn a PowerPoint into plain text: one labelled block per slide in deck order, tables as cell-joined rows, notes included, with no OCR and nothing invented.

Questions people ask
- What text does the tool pick up?
- Everything the package stores as text: title boxes, content placeholders, standalone text boxes, text inside grouped shapes, and every table cell. Each slide starts with a marker line, tables are written one row per line with cells joined by " | ", and grouped text is indented one step so you can see it belonged to a group.
- What about speaker notes?
- When a slide carries a notes page, the notes text is appended under an explicit "Notes for slide N:" heading at the end of that slide's block. Slides without notes contribute nothing, and the no-notes option skips them entirely.
- A slide with only pictures comes out empty. Is that a bug?
- No. The tool reads text that exists in the package; pictures, SmartArt rendered as drawings and charts are not text. Such a slide still gets its marker line and an explicit "no text on this slide" note, so a gap never passes unnoticed. Turning pictures into words would need OCR, which this tool deliberately does not do.
- Is my deck converted or altered?
- Nothing is written back. The deck is read as a package of parts and one plain text file is produced from it; there is no network access, and a slide whose internal XML cannot be parsed is named in place rather than hurling the rest of the document away.
- What happens to my files?
- The upload is removed as soon as processing finishes; the text file stays downloadable for about 10 minutes, then it is deleted automatically.
