Questions people ask
- What can I encode in the QR code?
- Any text up to 256 KB: a URL, contact details, Wi-Fi network details, short documents or plain words. The tool encodes the text exactly as given. It does not read, visit or validate the payload, and it never checks whether a URL is safe.
- Why will my text not fit?
- QR codes have a hard capacity. The largest codes hold roughly 2,900 characters at the lowest error correction level, and less at higher levels. If the text does not fit, use shorter text or level L. The tool refuses with a clear message rather than silently truncating anything.
- Which error correction level should I choose?
- M is the everyday default: it recovers about 15% damage. Choose H when the code might get scratched, printed small or partly covered, accepting a busier pattern. L packs the most text into the smallest code.
- Why does everything come out black on white?
- Black modules on a white quiet zone scan most reliably on both screens and prints. Recoloured codes, inverted codes and background images are the usual reasons a scanner stops reading, so the tool keeps the trustworthy layout.
- Is the same text always the same code?
- Yes. Identical text and settings produce byte-identical artefacts, so two runs give the same file, which makes links and checksums stable.
- What happens to my text?
- Nothing is stored: uploads are deleted as soon as processing finishes and the generated code stays downloadable for about 10 minutes, then is deleted automatically.
